Rick Hartsock is the Chief Executive Officer of Advantage Ambulance which provides ambulance services throughout San Diego County. Ever since he was young, he knew that he wanted to make a difference in this world and help others. specializing in crisis management. During this time, he also spearheaded a five-year ambulance movement in Riverside that crucially improved the quality and affordability of ambulance services. To create this change, he collaborated with policymakers and effectively ended a de-facto ambulance monopoly that was 40 years old. By doing so, he helped hospitals and patients save millions of dollars and lowered the cost of health plans by increasing on-time performance through the creation of competition.
He is also a proud graduate of California State San Bernardino where he received his B.A. in English. In 2014, he graduated from the University of Redlands with an MBA and an emphasis in global business.
As a lifetime learner, he pursued his second masters in healthcare leadership from Brown University. He earned his MHL in 2018.
He is also dedicated to philanthropy and community service. He serves as a board member for many charities and non-profits including the American Heart Association, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and the Riverside Art Museum.
Ryan Hartsock is the Director of Operations at Advantage Ambulance and he holds an A.S. degree in paramedics from the Northern California Training Institute and a certificate in crime scene investigation from UC Riverside. He has over ten years of experience in critical care transport, including as an EMT Division Supervisor and a Paramedic FTO. Ryan served five years as a paramedic with Lynch EMS and American Medical Response. During this time he also managed deployment of relief services to regional areas in the Southern States that were identified as needing additional paramedics, including hurricane disaster areas and the natural disaster created by the Deep Sea Horizon oil spill, acting as strike team leader for FEMA hurricane relief. He is currently the Director of Operations at Advantage Ambulance, overseeing patient advocacy, communications, and maintenance of internal and external compliance programs. Ryan is a CPR and 1A/1B training instructor, and ACLS, PALS, and ICS certified.
He is currently working on his Bachelor’s degree in emergency medical care with Eastern Kentucky University.
Jeannene Sutton, RN, earned her ADN from Cypress College. She has over 25 years of emergency medicine nursing experience in Orange and Riverside counties, working primarily as an RN Charge Nurse, House Supervisor, and Clinical Lead in the ER, responsible for staffing, workflow, hospital operations, staff education, and trauma care expediency. center for Orange County, focusing on the treatment of acute child abuse and rape exams. For five years, Jeannene was the Emergency Department Manager at Inland Valley Regional Medical Center, an ER that treats over 110 patients per day. Her tenure at Inland Valley included overseeing the design and building of a new 26-bed emergency room, as well as the development, refinement, and implementation of policies and procedures that improved staff and service relations and overall productivity. These new procedures included teaching certification classes on the new Cerner computer-based record system and overseeing its installation in emergency rooms throughout the UHS hospital network.
Since 2014, Jeannene has served as the Chief Nursing Officer at Advantage Ambulance, developing and implementing nursing care policies and standards, as well as managing the staffing and training of CCT nurses, medication and equipment maintenance, and overall program compliance. Jeannene is TNCC, ACLS, MICN, and BLS certified.
Gerardo Salcedo, MD, is the Chief Medical Officer of Advantage Ambulance and is a board-certified emergency physician specializing in trauma care, currently the attending physician at five Riverside County hospitals, three of which are level II trauma centers. He earned his BS from the University of Arizona, Tuscan, and his MD from the University of California, Los Angeles.
